My Personal Creation

This single piece of work is segmented into 4 parts, each of which contains different design principles which are emphasis, harmony, repetition, and balance. Application of contrasting colours captures viewers' interest and makes this art looks lively. The unique feature about this art is that when each section is separated into pieces, they will seem to be distinguishing from each other as if they are individual art pieces.

A Great Piece of Architecture

Beijing Daxiang International Airport, designed by Zaha Hadid, is an outstanding example of a great architecture of the 21^st century that was built to solve congestion issue around Beijing Capital International Airport. It is one of the largest airports in the world with a central hall connected to 5 concourses which gives it a starfish appearance from above. The design is intended to guide passengers through departure, arrival, and transfer zones towards the heart of this building, the meeting space. This building has free flowing interior which supports natural lighting such as glass roof and skylights. Another fascinating fact is that it has a water management and rainwater collection to prevent flooding and a centralised heating system to reduce carbon emission.

The Grand Canyon which is located in Arizona, United States, is one of the most amazing natural wonders on the planet. Continuous weathering and erosion on multiple layers of rocks that constitute this canyon create the unique combination of colours and pattern, enchanting anyone with its bizarre formation which seems to be extraterrestrial. This site is extremely significant due to its visible layers of ancient rocks which provide important information about geological phenomena and history. Besides, due to its ancient age, it becomes the home of ancient marine animals fossils. The changes to the canyon is still continuing due to constant weathering and erosion.
